(7^th May) KERAVNOS Vs Achilleas Kaimakliou 72 - 56

The team is in the big Final of the Cyprus Championship after a very good game against Achilleas in Strovolos. Keravnos won Achilleas by 72 to 56.

In the first quarter the team had a very good start both offensively and defensively. They say that "defence is the key to win a game" and the girls showed that they we were aware of it. They block key members of Achilleas and they played as Champions. In the second quarter the girls played with the same concentration and desire and managed to increase the points difference to 14 points. The first half score was 34 - 20.

In the second half the team played equally good and tried to keep the difference that was build in the first twenty minutes.

All the girls played very good and they help the team, reach this vital last win of the semi-final. The two team captains Stalo (with 19 points) and Silvia (with 10 points) were true leaders in every part of the semi-final. Julia, Georgia N. and Monica showed a very good face and helped the team in critical parts and showed that their experience is very important in the team. We then move forward to three young members of the team, Georgia K., Despina and Chara. These players showed tonight that they are truly basketball talents and if they continue with the same desire and love for this team the future will be theirs. We feel the need to congratulate the other young team members that although did not play tonight their help was important for the team.
