CYPRUS CHAMPIONSHIP 2004-05

Game 1 vs ApollonSemi-Final vs Achilleas

(24th April 2005) Achilleas Kaimakliou Vs KERAVNOS 53 - 39

Tonight at Kaimakli the girls had their worst game since the beginning of the season.

The only quarter that the team "survived" was the first one, were they won it by 14 - 11. In these ten first minutes, the girls could score and play good defense. They showed that they could win this game and move to the Final.

The second quarter was a disaster for the team, offensively (we only score 4 points). Lack of concentration, as well as lack of desire to win the semifinal,  gave the chance to their opponents to play stronger (there were times in the game that they played beyond the acceptable limits) and believe that they could win.

The second half continue in the same tempo, with the girls not believing that they could assert the game.

Unfortunately, tonight the team lost their chance to win this game and earn the second "ticket" that would lead them straight to the big final.

There is one final game against Achilleas in our Home Stadium, and the people close to the Champions (that all the teams want to beat since the beginning of the season !!!) believe that they will win and move to the final. This was just a bad night, that everybody wants to forget quickly and move on without any regrets.

The loyal fans that follow this team, Keravnos board and the team tireless assistants are very positive that the girls and the coach will find the strength to overcome this obstacle to their road to this year Championship.
