Always is a song by Azerbaijani singer Aysel Teymurzadeh, and will be the Azerbaijani entry to the Eurovision Song Contest 2009. The song was selected by Ictimai Televiziya və Radio Yayımları sirkəti (İTV), the Azerbaijani broadcaster, to compete from the 30 songs submitted to the broadcaster. The song was composed by Iranian-Swedish performer Arash.
Aysel Teymurzadeh (Azerbaijani: Aysel Məhəmməd qızı Teymurzadə; born 25 April 1989, Baku) is an Azerbaijani R&B singer. She has been selected internally by İTV for representing Azerbaijan in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 in Moscow, Russia[1] with the song Always. Aysel is the first female singer to represent the country at the Eurovision Song Contest, and only the second act ever to do so.
Aysel Teymurzadeh was born in Baku, the youngest of the three daughters of a journalist and a university professor. She is a descendant of the nineteenth-century Azeri publicist Hasan bey Zardabi.
Teymurzadeh graduated from the Intellect Lyceum (Baku, Azerbaijan) and attended Texas High School (Texarkana, Texas, US) in 2005�2006. In 2005, she participated in the national song contest Yeni Ulduz 4. Teymurzadeh is currently majoring in International Relations at the Azerbaijan University of Languages
